Opening Hours:

Our paddock is open 7 days a week, from 7am – 9pm.


Please note: we don’t currently have lighting, so during darker winter months we may close earlier. If the paddock is booked for training or an event, it will simply show as unavailable on our booking system.

Our live booking calendar shows all available times in real-time. Regular customers often secure weekly slots up to a year in advance, so if a time isn’t showing, it means it’s already taken.

Does the field have lights for evening walks?

Not yet — but we do plan to add lighting in the future, subject to planning approval.

What happens when I arrive?

Please only enter at your allocated time slot, well pop a map below. If you’re early, you can wait in the nearby Portland Park car park adjacent to the field until the field is free, as not to block the road. When it’s your turn, drive in and park, then close the gate securely before letting your dogs out. If the gate is already closed, the customer before you may still be loading their dogs. Please wait until they’ve left.

What if someone is in the field during my slot?
Don’t shout over the gate (as some dogs may be nervous or reactive). Instead, call or email us — we’ll step in straight away to resolve it.

How should I manage my dogs on arrival?

Dogs must remain in the car until the gate is shut. If walking to the field, keep dogs on the lead until inside and the gate is closed. This helps prevent crossovers and ensures safety for nervous or reactive dogs.

How do I make sure I don’t overlap with the next booking?
We kindly ask you to start calling your dogs back around 5 minutes before your slot ends. This gives time for safe exit and avoids any crossovers or struggles in retrieval of your dogs. If you’re struggling to recall your dog, just let us know and we’ll help where we can.

Will it be just me in the paddock?

Yes, the paddock hire is for your own sole use (unless stated otherwise, for example, you attend a training class or share with your friend).

Can I share the field with a friend and their dog?

Yes, however, your friend must be registered as a member or they cannot enter, our policy requires us to know who uses the paddock for health and safety emergencies. If it is a last minute decision, not to worry! You can pop their information in the notes with their registration number.

Please note it is your responsibility to ensure the dogs get along before sharing, we cannot be held liable for any incidents.

What happens if I am late?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow extra time, your time slot will still end as originally booked as there are likely to be appointments booked following your slot. However, please let us know as soon as possible and if there is no booking following we will try our best to accommodate you.

Can I reschedule?

Yes, you can reschedule directly on the booking system or by hitting the change appointment button at the bottom of your confirmation email, if this is at least 4 hours before your arrival time, you do not lose your payment, if you reschedule your payment is simply transferred over to your next booking. We recommend this as an alternative to canceling as if you need to cancel within the 24 hours this cannot be refunded.

What if I cant make it?

Please contact us and we will try to accommodate the best we can; however our standard policy is that if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment this cannot be refunded as above we recommend you reschedule the appointment instead, if you fail to reschedule or cancel before your booked time begins we will be unable to transfer it. You must cancel or reschedule before the time begins.

Can I bring a picnic for field hire?

Yes, seating areas will be provided for rests or picnics whilst your dog(s) play! We will be unable to allow for the likes of BBQs or cooking of any sort for insurance and fire risk purposes but please bring along a picnic and make yourself at home!
